SALARY: R520 785 per annum. Plus Rural Allowance (17%), plus Medical Aid (Optional) Housing Allowance (Employee must meet prescribed requirements), plus 13th Cheque

JOB LOCATION: Ceza Thulasizwe District Hospital (PHC)

GUARANTEES:

Senior Certificate/Grade 12; Suitability for a career in audiology; five years of experience minimum following registration as an audiologist; enrollment as an audiologist with HPCSA; a current driver’s licence; Suggestion: Having more qualifications will be advantageous; Having supervisory experience will be beneficial as well; computer literacy and prior experience monitoring MDR TB.

Requirements for Knowledge, Skills, Training, and Competencies:

solid understanding of the discipline’s clinical and patient care techniques; the capacity to evaluate, identify, and treat patients; solid understanding of monitoring MDR TB patients; strong computer literacy and communication abilities; sound morality and behaviour; understanding of the policies and initiatives of district health; familiarity with budgeting and data verification processes; Policy analysis, organisation and planning skills, and teamwork abilities.

Tasks:

creation, execution, and oversight of projects for quality enhancement in the department of audiology; creation and execution of protocols, guidelines, and assessments in compliance with national and international standards and best practises; offer ongoing training for professionals;
Keep an eye on and manage all departmental spending; Implement a structure for staff growth and performance.

DUTIES: Oversee the day-to-day administration, management, and supervision of audiology services; guarantee that these services adhere to IPC and health and safety laws; Perform training and awareness in-services; Represent the department in a variety of forums, such as cash flow meetings.
