POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12, 3 to 5 years minimum experience in a setting that manages human resources; HR practises or HRD is strongly advised. a valid driver’s licence, code 08, and computer literacy. Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of and familiarity with human resource management and thorough understanding of human resources procedures.
Good knowledge and understanding Of Employee Performance Management and Development Systems and Human Resource planning. In-depth knowledge of relevant acts, policies and regulations in HR management. Sound communication, analytical decision making and presentation skills. Good leadership, coaching, mentoring and personal skills. Sound knowledge of PERSAL and financial management. Knowledge of computer software (Ms. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
DUTIES:
daily administration of human resources procedures and maintenance of high standards of service. to appropriately review and authorise transactions and to provide Human Resource Officers with PERSAL function-related guidance. Ensure clear communication and the provision of knowledgeable counsel on issues relating to HR practises. Ensure that all human resources-related policies and procedures are followed correctly.
Make sure the financial and other resources allotted to the human resources component are used effectively. making reports and ensuring the accuracy of the District’s training records. Ensure EPMDS must be properly managed for the District Office, EMS, and Forensics. Make certain that all records are kept up to date.
Make sure that all required reports about HRD and HR practises are submitted on time. Make sure that all aspects of employment, including hiring and selection, qualification verification, security screening, transfers, and eDisclosure, are handled in compliance with the established policies and procedures. Effective control over both regular and commuted overtime.
Assure that staff debt is recovered in accordance with policies and procedures.
Determine the training needs and combine the Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and WSP implementation plan for the District Office in order to coordinate and develop them. Create training reports for the district office on a monthly, quarterly (QMR), and annual (ATR) basis. coordinating, assisting, supervising, tracking, and assessing staff training and development; developing training solutions; and carrying out training, including new hire orientation.
EPMDS implementation and monitoring of document capture are both required. To ensure departmental deadline adherence and prompt evaluations, administer and coordinate Performance Management (EPMDS). Make sure to submit performance reviews, agreements, and assessments on time. help oversee the quality assurance of all EPMDS documents.
Organise the creation and execution of the District office’s Integrated Human Resource Plan’s Employment Equity (EE) planning and reporting. ensuring the regular operation of the District office’s Human Resource Planning and Development division.
