JOB LOCATION: King Edward VIII Hospital Complex
REQUIREMENTS:
3 years of security experience, Senior Certificate, and Grade 12 Plus.
Intermediate computer literacy, a current driver’s licence, a security certificate of service (at least one year of study), a PSIRA certificate in Grade B or C, and familiarity with CCTV camera operations are all recommended.
Knowledge, Skills, Training and Competencies Required:
Knowledge of the appropriate emergency procedures, access control procedures, measures for the control and movement of equipment and stores, and the authority of security officers under prescribed security procedures (e.g., MIS, NISA, Protection of Information Act, etc.).
Understanding of the Human Rights Act, Labour Relations Act, Batho Pele Principles, and other laws. possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. possess advanced written communication verbal and non-verbal abilities, as well as report writing, supervisory, and conflict management skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure that security officers performing the security functions are following EPMDS policy and assessing their training needs. overseeing an outsourced security service, monitoring employee performance, and reporting on it Find safety risks, such as flaws and breaches in perimeter and internal security, and report them. Create and put into effect internal policies for the institution’s security and safety requirements.
Offer security-related services, such as managing the key control system, identifying risks and threats to the department’s security, conducting security investigations and producing reports on those findings, and reviewing incident/occurrence books/registers. investigative police with preliminary incidences, Keep an eye on access control to stop unauthorised entrance to the building and surrounding areas. Establish the shift rosters, overtime policies, and pay rates for security personnel and service providers.
