POSITION REQUIREMENTS

BSc in Civil Engineering, an undergraduate qualification (NQF level 7), recognised by SAQA. In the context of road construction, five years of managerial experience at the middle or senior level. SMS Certificate of Pre-Entry (given by the National School of Government). Valid driver’s licence for a vehicle (Code EB), excluding those issued to people with impairments.

Application of the legal framework controlling the public service, such as the Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Notes, Labour Relations Act, Public Service Act, Promotion of Access to Information Act, and Public Service Regulations, requires a solid and in-depth understanding of pertinent regulations. REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:

Coordinate and manage the use of labour-intensive construction:
Organise, carry out and oversee labour-intensive building projects. Create, implement, and oversee low-traffic access roads. household projects were planned, carried out, and supervised. Plan, carry out, and oversee internal projects. Consolidate social facilitation (assuring shareholder participation and adherence to relevant governmental policies and regulations).

The Roads Project Implementation unit’s departmental strategy policies and procedures should be developed, reviewed, and put into practice. To speed up the approval process, draft new policies or examine the current policies and procedures. Design, implement, and maintain efficient control systems to guarantee ongoing adherence to rules and procedures.

Determine where the Roads Project Implementation unit’s policy framework, procedural rules, and work processes need improvement. Staff should be informed of any changes to policies, practises, and work processes, and trained on how to use them. Investigate fresh developments in the Roads Project Implementation unit.

Create the component’s operational plan. Attend audit inquiries and keep an eye on whether audit remedial measures are being followed. Organise your resources (human, financial, and material): Facilitate the budget management and formulation of the component. To ensure optimum budget usage, track and report on spending. Monitoring and ensuring proper equipment use. Follow up on and assess the employees’ performance and evaluations.

Develop and grow capability while facilitating it. Ensure that human resources are used effectively. Keep the atmosphere in check. assist in and oversee the creation of supervisors’ job descriptions. Manage projects, make sure operational goals are met, supervise people to make sure they also help the department reach its objectives, and create guidelines, practises, frameworks, and M&E.
