COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTRE MANAGER – ASSISTANT MANAGER (PHC SPECIALITY) REF NO: JHD/D/11 (X1 POST)

REQUIREMENTS:

a Basic R425 qualification, such as a nursing diploma or degree, or an equivalent qualification that enables registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council (SANC). registration as a professional nurse with the SANC. a post-basic nursing degree that has been certified by the SANCA and is at least one year long in the speciality that applies to the PHC environment.

After being registered as a Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing, at least 10 years of relevant, recognisable nursing experience are required. After receiving the 1-year post-basic qualification in the pertinent speciality, at least 6 years of the aforementioned term must be appropriate/recognized experience in the speciality.

Of the time frame mentioned above, at least three years must be relevant/recognized experience at the management/supervisory level. Candidates appointed from outside the public sector who have complied with registration requirements must have less than one year of experience. A solid understanding of public service policies, the Code of Conduct, team building, and policy creation; leadership, organisational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills; and financial and human resource management. Computer proficiency is required. Having a driver’s licence will be helpful.

DUTIES:

to guarantee that the facility offers patients a thorough nursing treatment and care service that is affordable, effective, and fair. should always make sure that the rules of conduct are followed. Promote the provision of high-quality nursing care in accordance with the applicable health professional body’s standards and professional scope of practise. assist in the PHC-level delivery of a full array of services.

Make sure the group follows Batho Pele’s guidelines. Ensure that nursing services are implemented effectively. Create plans for quality improvement. Occupational health and safety, risk management, quality assurance programmes, and any other health-related programmes should be implemented and managed. Ensure clinic compliance with clinical protocols, standards, and norms.

obey the rules set forth by the Office of Health Standard Compliance. Ensure compliance with the ideal clinic and efficient attainment of ministerial priorities.
Encourage the implementation of the PHC reengineering programme. Make sure that human, financial, and material resources are managed and under control. Keep an eye on how the money is being used to make sure the clinic stays within its allotted budget.

Develop and implement a staff training plan while supervising and tracking employee performance in compliance with the Performance Management and Development System (PMDS). Attend to personnel grievances and enforce discipline. Make sure that staff absenteeism and theft are effectively monitored and regulated. Make sure all daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports are submitted. Manage and put COVID-19 immunisation recommendations into practice. oversee and assist with the COVID-19 immunisation program’s execution. Both general administrative responsibilities and soft management skills are required.
