Relations

SALARY: Level 14; R1 371 558 annually (all-inclusive package). The compensation package consists of a base salary (which accounts for 70% of the total compensation) and a flexible component that may be arranged in accordance with Senior Management Services (SMS) rules.

JOB LOCATION: Gauteng (Pretoria)

REQUIREMENTS:

Nyukela (the pre-entry certificate for the SMS), the Grade 12 Certificate, and a bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma in public administration, development studies, social science, or political science (at the NQF Level 7) are requirements for applicants. senior executive experience of at least five years.

a track record of managing and leading government initiatives. Experience in managing stakeholders and international relations. Experience in planning, monitoring, and reporting that is coordinated and integrated.

DUTIES:

Encourage ministers and Departments with similar mandates and responsibilities to work actively together. Support the Department and organise the Department’s involvement in the work of the three clusters (International Relations and Cooperation, Social Protection, and Economic Sectors Investment and Infrastructure Development).

Coordinate departmental contributions to the Cabinet Lekgotla compilation reports. serve as a conduit between all clusters and the Department. Join and participate in the task teams for the clusters. Give the InterMinisterial Committee (IMC) on land reform and agriculture secretariat support. Manage the coordination of the Programme of Action’s implementation in accordance with the Minister Performance Agreement and update the Cabinet on your progress.

To design the Programme of Action in accordance with the Minister’s Performance Agreement, and facilitate bottom-up integrated planning. Coordinate the sector Departments’ and the three spheres of government’s contributions to the Programme of Action’s implementation. Through appropriate structures, track the implementation of the Programme of Action progress and report on it.

manage the Technical Implementation Forum and the coordinating task teams. Streamline and consolidate planning and execution across domains. to make it easier for the three spheres of government to coordinate and integrate across sectors and domains. help the intergovernmental relations strategy to evolve and become operational.

Assist and direct the Department in the implementation of the District Development Model and intergovernmental interactions in accordance with the Department’s mandate. In situations involving intergovernmental relations across areas, support the Ministers. Manage the Ministers Technical Committee (Mintech) and Ministers and Members of the Executive Council (MINMEC) national intergovernmental forums.

assist sector Departments in the creation and execution of protocols and memorandums of understanding (MOUs). Maintain relationships with external and international stakeholders. Promote cooperation and coordination between the Department and foreign stakeholders by facilitating and advancing stakeholder relations. Create a framework and rules for managing international stakeholder relations fairly.

In accordance with the department’s mission, manage and encourage departmental participation in international fora. Multilateral and bilateral agreements are monitored, facilitated, and reported on. maintain communication with the Office of Global Affairs.
