Description: Purpose of the Job:

The purpose of this role is to equip Field Dynamos with the necessary skills to uphold and enhance store visual merchandising (VM) standards, thereby elevating the customer experience. The incumbent will be responsible for meticulously planning, organizing, leading, and overseeing the execution of the VM Plan in the field. This includes supporting sales objectives, company strategies, in-store displays, promotional campaigns, and Capex project rollouts. Furthermore, this role entails closely monitoring top-performing stores to ensure adherence to VM standards, ultimately aiming to elevate both store and customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Dynamo Upskilling: Ensuring consistent and high VM standards through effective training and development initiatives to enhance the customer experience.
  2. Participation in Field VM Sales Meetings: Collaborating in meetings to design and deliver divisional/regional workshops, fostering knowledge dissemination and skill enhancement across divisions.
  3. Implementation of VM Seasonal Sales Plan: Overseeing the rollout of seasonal sales plans in top-performing store groups to optimize visual merchandising effectiveness.
  4. Monitoring and Support for Monthly Promotional Bulletin: Providing guidance and assistance in the implementation of monthly promotional bulletins to drive sales and enhance brand visibility.
  5. Support for Company VM Initiatives: Assisting in the execution of company VM initiatives aligned with broader strategic objectives to drive business growth and brand consistency.
  6. Support for New Store Openings (NSOs): Providing VM support and expertise for new store openings to ensure a seamless and visually appealing launch.

Relationship Management: Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to foster collaboration and alignment towards VM objectives.

Budget Management: Effectively managing allocated budgets for VM activities, ensuring optimal resource utilization and cost-effectiveness.

Ad Hoc Tasks: Undertaking additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by management to support VM objectives and overall business goals.

Requirements: Required Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

  • Tertiary qualification in fashion/interior/graphic design, providing a solid foundation in design principles and aesthetics.
  • Demonstrable retail experience, preferably within a similar role, equipping the incumbent with a nuanced understanding of retail dynamics and customer preferences.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a relevant field, demonstrating proficiency and expertise in visual merchandising concepts and practices.
  • Store visual merchandising experience is advantageous, showcasing the ability to translate brand strategies into compelling in-store displays.
  • Functional knowledge of retail operations, encompassing an understanding of store layouts, product placement strategies, and customer flow dynamics.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Afrikaans, facilitating effective communication with diverse stakeholders and customers.
  • PC literacy, particularly in Google Workspace, enables the incumbent to leverage digital tools and platforms for VM planning and execution.
  • Training and facilitation skills, enabling the incumbent to effectively impart knowledge and skills to field teams.
  • Creative flair is demonstrated through innovative and visually appealing VM solutions that resonate with target audiences and enhance brand identity.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel, essential for conducting field visits and providing on-site support to stores across designated regions.
