POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Diagnostic radiography national diploma or degree. qualification required for radiography registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). After being registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa, a Diagnostic Radiographer must have at least three (3) years of experience in the field. current HPCSA registration for 2023–2024.
An extra advantage is having practical experience in a tertiary institution in radiology specialities and digital radiography: knowledge of pertinent laws, rules, policies, and practises affecting the public sector. knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Observance of the principles of infection control, health and safety, radiographic quality assurance, and national core standards. excellent communication and writing abilities.
The capacity to function as a multidisciplinary team member. must be well-versed in the operational procedures of public hospitals. demonstrates strong interpersonal abilities, organisational capabilities for strategic planning, leadership abilities, and supervising abilities.
DUTIES:
Deliver efficient patient-centred radiography services for both in- and out-patients while adhering to the practice’s boundaries and safety guidelines. To collaborate with others, fill in as needed, and maintain close contact with the other members of the interdisciplinary team. fulfil your obligations. to take part in the hospital’s 24-hour radiography service provision. Radiography: provide a report to the assistant director.
While adhering to the Batho Pele Principles, supervise, develop, train, and keep an eye on the performance of the subordinate staff and another relevant category of personnel in all elements of service delivery. At the departmental level, put quality assurance, National Core Standards, and standards into practice and sustain them. Observe departmental and provincial hospital rules, procedures, and regulations.
Maintained records and collected data; supported the management of assets and the control of budgets. Participate and contribute to your own and your coworkers’ professional development as well as that of the other team members. Take part in the department’s research projects. Clearly communicate with all parties involved. Complete all administrative tasks necessary for the position. Evaluation of performance and supervision.
Implement and uphold the National Core Standards, norms, and quality assurance at the departmental level. Follow all departmental, hospital, and provincial policies, procedures, and rules. Participate and contribute to your colleagues’ and own professional development. The applicant must be willing to submit to medical surveillance because it is a necessary part of the work.
