Position: General Worker

This position is ideal for a motivated and reliable individual who is looking to gain experience in a structured, fast-paced industrial environment. The role requires performing general operational tasks following a brief induction period and ensuring compliance with company standards and safety procedures.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting workplace safety and operational efficiency, particularly in managing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)

• 1–3 years’ experience in a fast-paced working environment

• Basic knowledge of health and safety principles

• Stores or inventory management experience (advantageous)

• Basic computer literacy

• Valid driver’s license

• Continuous availability of required PPE

• Willingness to work shifts

• Willingness to work Monday to Saturday (6-day work week)

• Reliable, honest, and able to work well in a team

• Ability to read and write

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Issue Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to employees and contractors according to job requirements, risk assessments, and company policies.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of PPE issuing, returns, replacements, and expiry dates.

• Monitor the condition, suitability, and lifecycle of PPE to ensure compliance with safety standards.

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of PPE documentation.

• Contribute to reducing PPE-related incidents and non-conformances.

• Support audit processes and ensure compliance with internal and external safety requirements.
